ADAM Creasey struck an unbeaten 130 as promotion-hopefuls South Petherwin thrashed Boconnoc by 180 runs on Saturday in Division Three.
The all-rounder smacked 10 fours and nine sixes following good work from and Andrew Brenton (82).
Boconnoc were held to just 138 all out, skipper Jacob Masters taking 5-23 to go with his 30 earlier on. Kevin Horrell took 2-17 from nine overs.
St Minver won a thriller at Grampound Road Seconds by 13 runs.
Chasing 204, the home side powered out of the blocks in a brutal display of hitting from Stephen and Harry Matthews in a stand of 113 in just 10 or so overs, but once they departed, new overseas player Alex Scullard claimed 8-44 with his seamers to go alongside Rob Hawken’s 2-44.
Earlier, Scullard made 50 after openers Ben Hawken (39) and Antony Ash (53) got starts.
In-form Launceston earned a four-wicket success at St Neot in Division Four.
Opening bowler Shane Davey took 3-22, but skipper Finlay Worth’s left-arm spin ran through the lower order for 5-18.
Worth and father Kevin (38) took the score to 74-2 in a chase of 137, and although wickets fell, Finlay batted through for 69 not out.
Werrington Thirds got over the line against Tideford at Ladycross.
The eight-man home attack restricted the visitors to 111 all out, which included 3-6 from youngster Tyler Jasper, but then slipped to 36-3.
Dan Warring (24) and the excellent Sam Uglow (38) added 46 before a late Tideford fightback.
On Sunday, Rosevear Cup holders South Petherwin took on Andrew Cup champions Barripper at Mount Ambrose and won by 17 runs.
Opener Taylor Gerry made 42 in Petherwin’s score of 139 before the West Cornwall outfit finished on 122-7 as Kevin Horrell (2-23) and Adrian Clements (2-19) shared four.
