House prices in Cornwall have increased by nearly £10,000 in a year, according to new analysis from estate agents Purplebricks.
The latest House Price Index will be welcome news for homeowners across the county, which was the twelfth best-performing area across the South West.
Average house prices in Cornwall are now £277,801 after a 3.7 per cent increase in value, worth around £9,816. But, Cornish properties lost 0.4 per cent in value from May to June this year, worth an equivalent of £1,114.
However, it is also the second month in a row in which Cornwall has seen a month-on-month decline in value.
Eight areas across the West Country saw annual house price rises while five suffered losses, with Exeter being the biggest loser in the South West, dropping £4,919.
In general, UK house prices have risen by two per cent- or £5,392 - over 12 months to June 2026 and increased 0.1% from May to June this year, making the average property worth £272,188.
