A CAMPSITE in Bude has experienced a number of thefts recently, and police are warning the community to be ‘extremely vigilant’ when leaving valuables in caravans and tents.
During the evening of Saturday, May 27, a campsite in Bude experienced a number of thefts, where many valuables were stolen from tents and caravans at the site.
Bude Police are thought to suspect that this incident was a ‘very professional job’.
On their Facebook post, Bude Police said: “Please could all campers and those staying in holiday locations be extremely vigilant with locking caravans and keeping valuables in a safe place. We would recommend if you are sleeping in a less secure location, such as a tent, that valuables are as close to you as possible.”
If anyone spots suspicious activity or has information, they are encouraged to contact police on the 101 non-emergency or 999 in an emergency.
