FIRE crews from Launceston and Bude were called into action this week to perform a water rescue after a sheep was found stranded in a river.
One crew from Launceston and a Water Rescue unit from Bude were called into action following an initial call to a male in a river rescuing a sheep on Wednesday, February 18 at around 10am.
Following the callout, the teams made their way to Maxworthy, between Launceston and Crackington Haven. On the crews’ arrival the male was thankfully out of the river, however, the sheep was still in the water.
The water rescue technicians from Bude were able to successfully rescue the sheep from the river.
