FOR their Summer Concert, Wadebridge Choral Society will be at Wadebridge Town Hall on Saturday, July 5 at 6.30pm.

The main work on the programme will be Bob Chilcott’s ‘Little Jazz Mass’ and there will also be songs by Gershwin.

The very versatile composer is well versed in the jazz idiom, having worked with such composers as George Shearing, John Dankworth and Richard Rodney Bennett.

Bob has also a composed for the King’s Singers, and has many ‘classical’ choral works to his name.

The ‘Little Jazz Mass’ is set in the Latin text in a variety of jazz styles that will provide the audience with a thought-provoking, yet entertaining evening.

Performing will be the choir with their resident accompanist, Stephen Tyrrell, and the JoJo Jazz Trio. The evening will be conducted by musical director Nicholas Danks.
