LAUNCESTON COLTS won the Under-18's sevens at Polson on Sunday but only after a nailbiting final against holders Kingsbridge.

In the end Paddy O'Hara's crew ran out winners with a last gasp try saving them from extra time against a strong Kingsbridge squad.

Launceston won both their pool matches before beating Wadebridge Camels in the semi-final to set up a final against Kingsbridge.

In the Shield competition, Okehampton beat Liskeard-Looe in the final while the Plate was won by Newquay who overcame Cullompton.
