THE Bude, Stratton and District Cancer Research UK group held a wine and wisdom event at Bude and North Cornwall Golf Club on November 16.

A sum £531 was raised for the evening while the Santander bank have also generously matched the group’s efforts, meaning a total of £1,062.00 will be given to Cancer Research UK.

Commenting on the evening, vice-chairman, Wendy Dugdale, said it went extremely well.

Wendy said: “All in all it was an incredibly successful evening and we managed to raise a really good sum of money. We’d also like to thank Santander for their generous support too.”
