POLICE in Bodmin have launched an appeal for information after reports of ‘suspicious behaviour’ at the Bodmin Beacon nature reserve.

A teenage girl reported being approached by an unknown man who made ‘inappropriate sexualised comments’ towards her before walking off.

The incident took place on Thursday, March 12 at around 4pm.

Police have asked anyone who has dash cam or doorbell footage from nearby roads, specifically Foster Drive, Bawden Road, Dawes Crescent and Treningle View at that time to come forward.

The man has been described as being of slight build with blond hair, wearing a light grey jumper, dark jeans and having missing front teeth and aged in his 20s to 30s.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police: “We are appealing for witnesses and information a report of suspicious behaviour in Bodmin.

“At around 4pm on Thursday, March 12 it was reported that a teenage girl was approached by an unknown man who made inappropriate sexualised comments towards her before walking off.

“The incident occurred in the area of the Beacon Nature Reserve near The Beacon monument.

“The girl immediately made her way to a safe place where police were then called.

“We are appealing for information to help identify the suspect, who is described as a white man, aged in his 20’s to 30’s and around 5ft 8ins tall.

“He is described as being of slight build with short light blond hair. He was wearing a light grey jumper and dark coloured jeans and was had missing front teeth.

“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam or doorbell footage in the areas of Foster Drive, Bawden Road, Dawes Crescent and Treningle View.
