UPPER Tamar Lake Sailing Club teenagers, Elliot Pomeroy (16), Nathan Pollard (16) and James Pollard (18) started their Christmas holidays by passing the Power Boat 2 Course.

The course was held at the club on Wednesday, December 21, and Thursday, December 22, by South West Lakes Trust senior instructor, Matt Lennox.

Elliot, Nathan and James are all very active sailors, taking part in the regular Sunday races throughout the spring and summer.

The course was towards their Dinghy Assistant Instructor (DAI) qualification.

The course was made possible by grant funding received from East Youlstone Community Benefit Fund and all at the club would like to thank them for allowing Elliot, Nathan and James to take up this opportunity.

Club Commodore, Sue Murray, was delighted with the boys.
