UPPER Tamar Lake Sailing Club, near Bude, will be offering low-cost opportunities to get out on the water and try a new sport in May during the national RYA Push the Boat Out 2015 event.
The club will be running pirate boat rides around the lake and other activities will be taking place off the water too, between 10am and 4pm on May 16, as part of the South West Lakes Trust Tamar Lakes Open Day.
This is an ideal family day out for everyone, with opportunities to try sailing and windsurfing from just £3 with no need to book. There will be free car parking and the café will be open along with a barbecue by the lake.
RYA Push the Boat Out offers nationwide sailing and windsurfing taster sessions introducing newcomers of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to the sports.
This year, for the first time ever, Push the Boat Out will run over nine days from May 9 - 17 — two weekends and five weekdays — to give people even more chance to have a go.
