IT WAS Bude's day at the Junior Grand Prix Squash Tournament, Truro, in December, with the North Cornwall players winning four of the six divisions outright and landing runner-up in another.

Sam Fanson, who is now at number two in the county junior rankings, scored a clean sweep in division one, beating Falmouth's Ben MacDonald 15-13 in the final match of the group.

Emily Fanson also won all her matches, despite tough battles against Jack Winstanley-Punch and Ethan Elwell, to take the division three title.
