ZERO Gravity Academy trampolinists, Imogen Spooncer, Madison Vine, Yasmin Rundle and Reanna Lucas (pictured), along with their coach Anne Dodds, travelled to Bath University on Sunday, February 25, to compete in the last grading of the 2018 season.

This competition gives the trampolinists a last chance to achieve their gradings and placings to then be eligible to take part in the South West Team trials competition and hopefully go on and gain a place in the team.

The day was extremely busy as along with the trampoline competition there was also the tumbling and double mini tramp competitions running at the same time, with many of the gymnasts taking part in more than one of the disciplines.

All four girls competed extremely well with Imogen taking gold in the 15+ girls’ age group at Level 5 for trampoline.

Madison grabbed silver in the 13 to 14 girls’ age group at Level 5, which was the first time she had competed at this higher level, before going on to win gold in the double mini tramp at Level 1 for 13+ girls. Both Imogen and Madison have now been invited to take part in the South West Team Trial competition and are in very strong contention for a squad place in both the trampoline and double mini tramp as Imogen qualified in that discipline in an earlier grading competition.

Although Yasmin and Reanna performed well, it was not to be their day and they didn’t quite achieve the marks required this time, but with this experience now taken, they will be more prepared next season.
