BUDE’s struggles on the road in Western?Counties rugby continued on Saturday as the long trip down to St Ives ended in a 92-0 thrashing.
St?Ives have started to climb the table in recent weeks, beating the likes of St Austell and Wadebridge.
On?Saturday they ran in 14 unanswered tries with Pete Mabbutt scoring four times while prop Tom Chandler helped himself to a hat-trick including a 90-metre dash from his own try line in the closing stages.
Bude will hope that their steady home form will serve them well again on Saturday when struggling Crediton are the visitors to Bencoolen Meadow.
