BUDE swept Paignton aside en-route to their first piece of league silverware in 30 years of trying.
Bude have been promoted in the past but never as actual champions.
For long-serving forwards Dave Gregory and Paul Cholwill who have clocked up 23 and 27 years in the 1st XV respectively, it was a day to remember.
Full-back Dan Pearce celebrated his first call-up to play for Cornwall in Tuesday’s Tamar Cup game at St Austell, with the opening try.
He got another and five goals for a 20-point haul.
For Paignton, who were 24-7 down at half time, it was definitely a day to forget.
They were on the end of a nine-try battering and only scored two themselves.
