HOLSWORTHY Rallycross driver Dan Rooke is heading for North Yorkshire to compete in the final round of the British Rallycross Championship.
The 18-year-old 2012 British Autocross Champion is currently leading the Supernational class by ten points over Newcastle driver Gareth Wood. Dan has led the class since his first A final win at Lydden Hill race circuit on Easter Monday.
In his maiden season in Rallycross he has competed in events in Kent, Wales, Ireland and Yorkshire using a Citreon AX GTi, he is the youngest driver with the oldest and smallest car in the class with its 1650cc normally aspirated engine.
Dan said: “It would be fantastic to win the championship in my first season and that is what we are aiming for, but I am not taking anything for granted and need to focus, we still need a strong result at Croft.”
Rallycross is the fastest growing motorsport and has a huge following around the world. The ‘Dan Rooke Racing’ teams’ efforts can be seen on AMG TV, Eurosport or followed on facebook.
