THE South West Peninsula League have released the fixtures for the 2017/18 season ahead of the big kick-off in August with plenty of clubs in the Post area involved.
Launceston will look to build on their 11th-placed finish and will get an immediate chance to test their summer improvements when they host big-spending Plymouth Parkway at Pennygillam on Saturday, August 12.
Four days later they make the short trip to Camelford before playing four more times before the end of the month.
As usual Callington Town will be the opponents on Boxing Day and Good Friday.
Callington endured a tough campaign, but under the guidance of new manager Dean Cardew will look to stay away from the bottom six.
The Marshfield Parc club start at home to Cullompton Rangers on?Saturday, August 12 before travelling to Devon to take on Witheridge a week later.
The first midweek clash is at home to Exmouth Town on Tuesday, August 22.
They end the season with a derby date at Launceston on Good Friday folowing their final home game against champions Tavistock.
Camelford have a mouthwatering local derby to look forward too first up as they welcome Launceston to Trefrew Park on Wednesday, August 16.
Clashes with Torpoint Athletic and Cullompton Rangers follow before ending the month with a trip to Newquay.
The traditional Boxing Day and Good Friday derbies with Bodmin go ahead as usual with the Camels travelling to Priory Park first.
They end the season with away game at newly-promoted Sticker on Saturday, April 7.
Both Bude Town and Holsworthy scrapped away at the wrong end of the table before ensuring survival and both will want solidify themselves in mid-table.
Bude start their campaign on the opening weekend (Saturday, August 12) when they welcome Dobwalls to Broadclose Park before travelling to last years runners-up Elburton Villa ten days later.
September is a much busier time for them including a long trip to promoted Ludgvan and the visit of relegated St Blazey.
They finish the campaign at home to Elburton Villa on Saturday,?April 14.
Holsworthy know that they need to improve their defensive record but will be confident of a good start as three of their first four games are at home, although their first trip on the road sees them travel to St Blazey.
This year they will host Bude on Boxing Day with the return fixture on Good Friday while Wendron United are the visitors on the final day on Saturday, April 14.
