HOLSWORTHY AFC recently held their annual presentation night at their Upcott Field home with all three men’s teams present.

The 2025/26 campaign was a good one for the firsts as Kevin Squire’s maiden season in charge saw the Magpies secure a seventh-placed finish in a highly-competitive South West Peninsula League Premier West and reach their first-ever Devon St Luke’s Bowl final where they were beaten 3-1 by hot favourites Bovey Tracey at Coach Road, Newton Abbot.

The reserves struggled for results for much of the season in the North Devon Premier League, but a 5-1 victory in their final game at home to Braunton saw them finish fourth bottom, a point above second from last Hartland. The thirds brought on a host of youngsters in Intermediate One where they ended up with 17 points, not helped by having six points deducted.

Both teams will look to kick on next season as the club continues to grow and bring through the next generation, while the seconds have appointed former assistant boss Jordan Davis as manager after a year out of the game.
