THE Magpies put in a superb defensive performance to pick up an excellent point at fifth-placed Newton Abbot Spurs.

Chances were at a premium throughout with Holsworthy goalkeeper Ryan Walter rarely tested.

Holsworthy will hope to build on that when they travel to Ivybridge Town on Saturday (3pm).
