Cornwall Senior Cup — First Round

St Ives 0

LAUNCESTON made light work of Cornwall Combination League side St Ives as they cruised into the second round of the competition with an 11-goal thrashing of their visitors.

It took the hosts until the 35th minute before they eventually opened the scoring when Adam Crabb fired home with Chris Head doubling the lead five minutes later.

The floodgates opened in the second half with a Head cross being dropped into his own net by the St Ives goalkeeper on 50 minutes.

Sam Davey and two goals from Bobby Hopkinson in a seven-minute spell then put the Clarets six goals to the good.

Andy Elcock added a seventh with Davey making it eight, 11 minutes from time.

Substitute James Robertson bagged the ninth before first Hopkinson, and then Davey, completed their hat tricks late on.
