DEVON AND EXETER LEAGUE DIVISION THREE
Halwill 5 Feniton Seconds 0
HALWILL made it two wins and two clean sheets on the bounce on Saturday as they eased past Feniton Seconds 5-0.
That result backed up the 4-0 victory the week before as they look to mount a charge towards the top of the league.
The Blues started well, playing some nice football, while not giving Feniton a moment on the ball.
Brendan Hearn got his first goal for the club on 10 minutes with a smart finish after a fine ball from Sam Down.
It was 2-0 moments later when another fine through ball from Down was latched on to by Luke Potter who rounded the keeper and finished.
Two became three when a neat one-two between Jason Winser and Morgan Reynolds saw Reynolds race in on goal and finish superbly.
Reynolds then got his second as he finished well from a cross into the box. Down then capped off a brilliant first half display as he finished well from the edge of the box to make it 5-0 at half-time.
The second half saw no goals but plenty of action, with all five of Halwill’s substitutes getting at least 35 minutes.
Chances continued to come but were missed, while at the other end, Callum Lock made a couple of very smart saves to keep his clean sheet.
A club spokesperson said: “All over the pitch there were some brilliant performances.
“We were defensively solid, worked hard in midfield with some nice football played and the lads up front were a constant threat for Feniton’s defence.”
