WERRINGTON?Cricket Club will take on Grampound Road in the Clive Rosevear?Insurance Hawkey Cup final at St Austell CC next Wednesday night (July, 5), starting at 6pm.

Adam Hodgson’s side will start as clear favourites against a Grampound Road side, who currently sit bottom of the ECB Cornwall Premier League, but the ‘Road’ will be confident of causing an upset in the shortest format of the game.

In the semi-finals, Werrington thrashed old rivals Callington by 150 runs after posting 180-7 while Chris Roberts’ men won with just three wickets and two balls to spare in chasing down 133 at County One strugglers Roche.

The winners will take on either Penzance or Falmouth in the Edwards Cup final at Truro on Wednesday, July 19 for the right to represent Cornwall in the ECB?Club T20 Area Finals which will be hosted by the West of England Premier League on Sunday, July 30.
