LWC Drinks Cornwall Cricket League review

THREE of the eight games that did go ahead in the county involved Post area teams with Werrington thirds losing at St?Neot and Luckett seconds and Bude seconds easing to comfortable home victories to start the season.

Division Two East

Newquay — Newquay v Bude. Match cancelled; six points each.

St Austell — St?Austell v St Minver. Match cancelled; six points each.

Division Three East

St Neot — Werrington 114 (N Ward 39, S Taskis 34; D Masters 3-15, J Kent 3-34, M Pearce 2-20), St Neot 115-4 (C Arthur 35no, L Jones 27; F Ward 2-21, S Taskis 2-30). St?Neot (20 points) beat Werrington (four) by six wickets in a match reduced to 44 overs.

Division Four East

Bude — Bude 224-2 (G Wint 63, C Parkes 59no, A Greaves 57; C Crabb 2-37), Menheniot-Looe 159-7 (M Conbeer 77no, B Simpson 32; G Moore 3-36, M Ellis 2-8).

Bude (18 points) beat Menheniot-Looe (four) by 65 runs.

Luckett — Pencarrow 142-7 (W Lutey 35, A?Best 27, Extras 25, S Patterson 21; S Brown 2-32, A Small 2-40); Luckett 143-4 (R Seeley 69no, Extras 30, A Small 23; W Lutey 2-24). Luckett (18 points) beat Pencarrow (five) by six wickets.

Division Five East

St?Minver — St Minver v Launceston. St Minver have withdrawn from the league.

Tintagel — Tintagel v Gunnislake. Match cancelled; six points each.

Werrington — Werrington v Ladock. Match cancelled; six points each.
