WERRINGTON’S Adam Hodgson marked his first Cornwall appearance since 2018 in style yesterday as the Duchy beat Bedfordshire by four wickets in the NCCA Trophy at Redruth.
With six of Penzance’s players involved in their National Club Championship victory over Bath, Hodgson was among several to be given opportunities, and he took it in style.
Having seen his first five overs go for 26, the off-spinner returned in the latter stages of the innings to take five wickets from just two overs, and conceded just five runs in the process.
He then struck his second ball to the boundary to seal the game as he finished four not out as Cornwall chased down their target of 252 with three overs to spare.
Cornwall are next in action on Sunday when they travel to North Mymms to take on Hertfordshire.
