Bude Bridge Club — Monthly report and weekly results

November Report

BUDE Bridge Club was one of 117 clubs from three countries that took part in the ECatsbridge Simultaneous Pairs event for Children in Need on Tuesday, November 15.

Congratulations are in order for Bob and Ann Bennett on winning the Bude heat and finishing 356th out of 1,840 pairs, while Neil and Sarah Trenaman also did well, finishing in the top 20% in 364th place.

The November heat of the North Coast Wine Handicap Pairs was won comprehensively by Christine Theobald and Sylvia Rogers.

The weekly duplicate sessions on Tuesday and Friday evenings resulted in multiple success for the regular partnerships of Bob and Ann Bennett, Mike and Jean Brookes and Mary Hicks and James Sim, all of whom won twice. Christine Theobald not only won with Sylvia Rogers but also partnered Mike Newman to success. The only other winning pair during the month were Neil and Sarah Trenaman.

Wednesday afternoon sessions also produced multiple winners. Alan Merchant-White and Mike Quartermaine won twice and Alan also came top with Veronica Chouffot. Veronica also won with Ann Bennett.

Other winning pairs were Deb Delvalle and Geoff Scutt and Ian Curtis and Dave Teale.
