I'm now beginning my third season playing for Cornwall U13 girls' cricket team and have this year been selected to captain the side. My new coach, Matt Rowe, nominated me for the England Women Under 15s' Talent Detection Day at Loughborough University. On the Sunday I arrived at Brockington Cricket Pitch at the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) National Performance Centre. The group of girls were split into two teams and we were led out for a warm up. My team were really friendly, which made it a lot easier. I was really excited to play cricket with other high performing girl cricketers, but at the same time felt extremely nervous with the challenge of a 50 over game ahead of me.
