LAUNCESTON Young Farmers’ Club are offering to help to anyone in the local community who needs support over the next few weeks.

Since Young Farmers’ Clubs across the country are following new government guidelines and restrictions which have been put in place for the clubs, the team at Launceston YFC have expressed their keen interest to help those who are in need.

This could include people needing urgent shopping, supplies and medicines, with the club offering to collect and deliver in Launceston and the surrounding areas.

Chairman Nick Uglow: “We’re offering to pick up any shopping or essential medicines that people aren’t able to get out and get.

“We’re focusing on the over 70s and vulnerable, as yet we’ve not been called upon but I’m sure as the situation develops and supplies in these people’s houses dwindle we will be needed.”

If you or someone you know is in need of something urgently and live in the Launceston area, contact Nick on 07772 301 866 or message the club’s Facebook page to discuss your needs further.
