AN 11-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after being involved in a collision with a bus yesterday afternoon.

Police were called to Hurdon Road in Launceston at around 5.40pm on Wednesday, May 29, following a collision between a young cyclist and a single-decker bus.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “The 11-year-old boy sustained multiple injuries and was treated by ambulance before being taken to hospital.” 

The injuries sustained are not believed to be life-changing or life threatening. 

The road was closed for just under four hours by police and was eventually reopened at 9.30pm.
