PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council in North Cornwall and Torridge District Council in Torridge.

Road closures

BUDE: The road from Summerleaze Avenue to Flexbury Avenue, Flexbury, Bude will be closed for four days in January for meter exchange works by South West Water.

This prohibition is necessary for pole replacement works and it is expected that the closure will be from January 8 to 12. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only.

Roads affected - Road from Summerleaze Avenue to Flexbury Avenue, Flexbury, Bude for its entire length.

An alternative route will be signed on site. Pedestrian and Vehicular access will be maintained to properties.

LAUNCESTON: The road from Trebreak Cottage to Brook Cottage, Tremaine, Launceston will be closed for four days in January for new water connection works by South West Water.

This prohibition is necessary for pole replacement works and it is expected that the closure will be from January 5 to 9. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only.

Roads affected - Road From Trebreak Cottage to Brook Cottage, Tremaine, Launceston between grid reference SX 22285 90890 and the junction Access to Gorracott Farm.

An alternative route will be signed on site. Pedestrian and Vehicular access will be maintained to properties.

MORWENSTOW: The road From the A39 Between Crimp and Stursdon Cross to Morwenna Road, Shop, Morwenstow is set to be closed for underground cabling works by Nokia.

This prohibition is necessary for underground cabling works, and it is expected that the closure will be from January 5 to 16.

The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 8am and 6pm, weekdays only. Road affected - Road from the A39 Between Crimp and Stursdon Cross to Morwenna Road, Shop, Morwenstow for its entire length. An alternative route will be signed on site.
