LAUNCESTON Young Farmers Club delivered 600 bags during their recent charity dung run.

The event, which took place on Sunday, February 24, saw members of the club delivering bags of dung at £2 each around the area, in order to raise money for the club chairman’s chosen charities — ICP Support and Arthritis UK.

During the day, club members were welcomed in for a carvery at the ‘Proper Ansome Cafe’ by Maunders in Launceston.

Club chairman, Alex Cornish, was delighted with the response received and said: “Overall, we’d like to say a big thank you to the people who bought bags from us. Thank you for the support from everyone, for our wine and wisdom events and dung run.”

The club did not know a final total raised from the dung run before the Post went to press, but members were delighted to have had support from the local community.
