PLANS for a cash machine to be installed at the Camelford branch of the Co-op have been approved.

The application was made following the closure of all three of the town’s banks.

The ATM is to be installed through the glazed shop front, with the non-illuminated signage stating ‘free cash withdrawals.’

The news of Cornwall Council’s approval was given to town councillors at their meeting on October 20.

Mayor of Camelford Cllr Rob Rotchell said: “I’m pleased. Lord, let them get on with it. That’s good news.”
