AFTER successfully appointing a Castle manager and heritage development officer earlier in the year, the Castle Bude is now looking for volunteers to help enhance the visitor experience to the Heritage centre.

The Castle is a fascinating, friendly and supportive place to work, all set in a stunning location. For anyone with a love of local history, who is interested in learning new skills and meeting new people, this is the ideal opportunity to get involved.

Volunteering also has a positive effect on wellbeing, and offers a chance to give something back to the community.

Roles available at the Heritage Centre include front of house, stewarding opportunities, assisting with the delivery of school visits and workshops, and helping with one off events.

Full induction and training will be given, and all roles will be fully supported by the heritage development officer.

This doesn’t have to be a big commitment — a couple of hours a week, or availability to help with events only, is acceptable.
