THE preserving pans have been busy again and the produce stall was resplendent with jams, marmalade, pickles and chutneys at St Breward village church’s annual pickles and preserves coffee morning.
Cakes were as popular as ever, as were the bacon and egg pies. The kitchen was busy serving coffees, teas and cup cakes.
Bric-a-brac had been donated and did brisk trade. The books were full of bargains, and the tombola and nearly new stall did particularly well.
Caroline Hooper, treasurer and events organiser, said: “A very big thank you to all who helped, attended and donated. A net amount of £350 was raised for St Breward Church.”
