A VILLAGE was transported back in time recently thanks to the magical work of the local pantomime group.

Marhamchurch’s actors travelled back to Lower Saxony, led by Colin Austin, in their latest production. Actors and audiences found themselves in the town of Hamelin on the bank of the River Weser where the good townsfolk were suffering from a plague of rats

Thankfully a wandering minstrel, a Pied Piper, was able to help them, guiding the plague of rats away from the town and saving the day.

Though, the production wasn’t all doom and gloom, there were plenty of laughs along the way, with the cast already looking forward to entertaining audiences again next wintertime.
