LAUNCESTON Rotary Club's 'Swing and Supper' big band event and auction being held this Saturday is a sell-out.
Organiser, Rotarian Brian Morgan said: "We are delighted with the response but we wouldn't want folk turning up on the night expecting to get in.
"This should be a great night out, as well as a fun way to raise money for local causes such as Altarnun Brownies; Launceston boys boxing club; Langore Village Hall toilet fund; Sound Waves South West; Cornwall Hospice and various cancer charities."
The club aims to raise funds for local causes when the 15-piece Dorset-based big band In The Pink will get the feet tapping and the hands clapping at the Eagle House Hotel, Launceston.
"A host of fabulous items have been donated to the silent auction," added Brian. "Bids can be lodged before the event for anyone who is unable to attend by calling me on 01566 781278."
Bids are especially invited for a champagne hot air balloon flight for two; a week's hire of a two bedroomed seafront villa in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote and a self catering cottage for up to 10 guests in the Derbyshire Peak District.
