FIRE crews from Delabole and Bude fire stations were called to a fire near Boscastle during the afternoon of December 27. 

The call came after reports of a telehandler alight at a property in the St Juliot area. 

Upon arrival, the telehandler was described as ‘well alight’, and by using breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets, the fire was successfully contained and extinguished. 

A spokesperson for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: “Two crews from Delabole and Bude attended a call to a telehandler on fire. The handler was well alight on crews’ arrival, crews used two breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.”
