A man remains in police custody after a search of his property in Camelford found a suspected "explosive substance".

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson confirmed: "Police carried out a search warrant at an address in Camelford on Thursday, March 16, and a 57-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing an explosive substance for an unlawful purpose. He remains in police custody."
