CONTINUING to ‘Give a Little Love’ to the local community Waitrose Holsworthy has presented Holsworthy C of E Primary School with a cheque to support the school’s ‘Catch-Up’ programme for those who have struggled during the recent lockdowns.
Marilyn Chidley, Waitrose & Partner’s Community Champion for Holsworthy, presented teacher Mrs Vikki Moore and the members of the Friends of Holsworthy Primary School with the cheque on April 27.
Marilyn said: “It is really important to everyone at Waitrose Holsworthy that we do our best to support our community. We all feel that it is important to ensure that every child has the best opportunity to learn and develop through their educational years, which is why we decided to make this worthwhile donation to the school.”
On behalf of the school and Friends Mrs Moore said: “Over the years, we have been very fortunate at Holsworthy C of E Primary School, to have received on-going support from Waitrose. In particular they have supported us with our breakfast club. Today [I] and The Friends of Holsworthy Primary School were presented with a cheque for a very generous donation of £750 from their ‘Give a Little Love’ campaign towards our Catch-Up programme for pupils following the recent lockdowns.”
They added: “Many thanks to Waitrose for your generosity and for the care and consideration you give to our school."
