AN investigation has been launched by police after an attempted break in at a post office.

Holsworthy Post Office was the subject of the incident during the morning of March 7.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police are investigating an attempted break-in at Holsworthy Post Office at the weekend.

“Officers were called at 7.35am on Saturday, March 7 after the outer door was smashed at the premises at The Square.

“The offenders had also attempted to get inside the inner door but were unsuccessful and nothing was stolen.

“Police are appealing for information and asking any witnesses who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area to contact them.
