THE veterans of the Launceston branch of the Royal British Legion held their summer lunch at The Countryman Inn on Wednesday, June 14.

The chairman, John Knights, expressed his appreciation to Pam and Jim Townsend for their hard work and dedication in organising these events during the past few years.

Unfortunately he had to announce that these lunches have come to an end although it is hoped that similar entertainments will return in the future.
