STRATTON’S Remembrance Sunday service that took place at the weekend matched the success of Bude’s service on Friday.
The service, led by the Rev Christopher Scott and starting at 9.30am on Sunday, November 13, saw Bude and Stratton mayor, Lea Deely, as well as serving personnel and ex service personnel, the Royal British Legion, the RNA and the cadets, take part in the remembrance event.
Described by member of the Bude branch of the Royal British Legion, Godfrey Harrison, as an ‘amazing’ service, the RBL and the RNA proceeded to lay wreaths at the Stratton memorial, to remember those who have fought, given their lives or continue to serve their country today.
