SHOPPERS in Launceston have been digging deep recently in order to support the local St John Ambulance first aiders.
Volunteers, from the first aid charity’s Okehampton Unit, raised just over £150 through a collection at Tesco held throughout January 2017.
Kevin Dickens, St Johns Ambulance’s community fundraising co-ordinator, said: “We’d like to say a massive thank you to shoppers from Launceston and the surrounding area.
“Through their kindness and generosity, we can now train more of our volunteers from North Cornwall and West Devon in vital skills to help people who are sick or injured, and provide them with the equipment they need to be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.”
