A RECENT application for funding assistance from the Launceston Rotary Community Shop was accepted and agreed.

It came from the CEO of the Camelford and Launceston Dementia Action Alliance, Jane Moore, and the money was needed to raise awareness of dementia and give support.

The funding was specifically required for the printing of ‘Living with Dementia’ magazines and to support carers.

Rotary Shop volunteer, Angie Harris, presented a cheque for £285 for the cost of this printing to CEO Jane Moore.

Jane thanked Rotarians for the donation and said the magazine has now been printed and will be distributed to many appropriate outlets in Launceston.

She is sure it will make a difference to the way in which people communicate when dementia strikes.
