THE Rotary Club of Launceston is involved in numerous local and overseas projects. Two Launceston Rotarians — Barrie Boundy and Leighton Penhale — recently travelled with a team to deliver two vehicles to Kosova. Two vehicles were in the convoy; one ambulance supported by the Launceston Rotary Club and the Toyota Landcruiser being sponsored by Lostwithiel Rotary Club. With a 7am start the team drove to Dover and stayed overnight in Dunkirk. Day two took them through Belgium with an overnight stop at Ulm on The Danube in Germany. On day three the team headed for Austria (Salzburg) and then across Slovenia into Croatia. The next day they continued through Bosnian Herzegovina and onward to their destination. The aim was to reach Pej on the Montenegro/Kosova border. For the full report, and a round-up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
