MORE than 200 Santas could be seen cutting a dash in?Launceston on Sunday — the young and old festive runners were raising funds for the Children's Hospice South West.
They ran two kilometres, starting from outside the town hall, up to the square and into Westgate Street before tackling Windmill Hill, going through the park and down Windmill Lane back into town.
On their return, the Santas were congratulated with a medal and festive treat and welcomed back to the town hall by Father Christmas in his sleigh, a welcome sight for many children who had sprinted around the route.
Sponsored by Ocean Housing, it was the second year the event had taken place in Launceston and the Little Harbour children's hospice fundraising team tried to make the experience as festive as possible.
