THE team at Folk2Folk in Launceston have offered their congratulations to the chairman of the board, Tim Sawyer, for his recognition in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.

Tim was honoured as a commander in the British Empire (CBE) for his services to small business and entrepreneurs.

With over 30 years of experience in financial services, Tim is also the CEO of Start Up Loans, a private sector initiative backed by the government with a mandate of delivering £350 million of funding to start up companies, creating 50,000 new jobs.

The recognition of Tim’s work aligns with Folk2Folk’s commitment to supporting small businesses, with the company having recently been awarded with the Best Lending Platform for Small Businesses by AltFi, the world’s leading news site for alternative finance.
