THE ‘pupil forum’ at St Stephens Community Academy in Launceston have been working extremely hard all year to earn their bronze PADL (Promoting Active Democracy Loudly) award.
They have raised money for their school and a number of charities including Cancer Research UK and Children’s Hospice South West, through holding cake sales, breakfast bap mornings and running the ‘Race for Life’.
All members of the pupil forum had an important part to play, and they have been directly involved with their school and the wider community.
They were invited to Truro County Hall recently, to be presented with their bronze PADL award.
The pupil forum were all very excited and presented a well-planned presentation to a number of other schools about the work they had done throughout the year.
Miss Goodman, pupil forum leader, said: “I have been incredibly proud of everyone in the pupil forum.”
“They have all grown in confidence and it has been a joy to watch them grow as individuals.”
The pupil forum is now working towards obtaining their silver PADL award.
