THERE is currently a large police presence in the Wilsey Woods area of Camelford following reports of a suspected illegal rave.

Earlier today (December 27) it was reported that police had been called to the A395 in the Camelford area shortly before midnight following a report of a large number of cars turning off the carriageway towards woodlands.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson explained: "We received further information about a suspected illegal rave in the area."

There is currently a road closures in place on the A396 where officers are in the area preventing others from entering.

The police have said they will 'provide further information in due course.'
