PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council in North Cornwall and Torridge District Council in Torridge.
Premises application
AN application for a premises licence for a restaurant has been lodged with Torridge District Council.
Cod N Go Ltd have submitted the application to Torridge District Council for permission to serve alcohol at their premises listed as Cod N Go Ltd, Bayley’s Corner Café, 4 Stanhope Square, Holsworthy, EX22 6AP.
If the application is successful, it would see the business permitted to serve alcohol from their restaurant on Mondays to Thursdays between 11am and 8pm in addition to 10am until 9pm on Friday and Saturday.
Any representations in respect to this application must be made to Torridge District Council as the relevant local authority with details on how to do so available on the Public Notice Portal.
Proposed speed limit changes
Cornwall Council has unveiled proposals to change the speed limit of a significant number of roads in an area that it calls the Launceston community network area.
While the majority of the proposals concern reducing speed limits to 20 miles per hour, a few roads will see changes to 30 miles per hour.

Licence application
TWO extra lorries could be sited at an operating centre near Bodmin if a licensing application to Cornwall Council is successful.
W G D Rogers and Sons Haulage Limited have lodged a licensing application with Cornwall Council seeking permission to site an additional two goods vehicles and trailers at a grain storage site on the outskirts of Lanivet.
The location of the site subject to the operation licence is Kernow Grain Limited, Newgate Farm, Lanivet, Cornwall, PL30 5HX.
