Premises licence application
AN application seeking the granting of a premises licence certificate in St Merryn has been submitted to Cornwall Council.
The applicants are Mark Bennett, Jasmin Bennett and Carolyn Bennett, and the premises which is the subject of the application is Higher Harlyn Park, St Merryn, Padstow, PL28 8SG.
In the public notice, the applicants advertised their intentions, stating: “The application is to extend the licensable area of the shop due to a recent expansion of the shop floor.
“The restaurant and terrace are to be included under the same license as is currently separate.
“To increase the licensable area outside the bar to include the food takeaway, new seating area and swimming pool area with provision for live music, recorded music and dance.
“The Shop will operate from 8am to 8pm daily as currently licensed to do so. Bar and Restaurant to sell alcohol between 10am to 1am daily.”

Restaurant application
Elsewhere in St Merryn, The Atlantic Kitchen has applied to serve alcohol on site.
Matt Hampel, the applicant submitted the application for the premises at The Atlantic Kitchen, Crossroads, St Merryn, PL28 8NF.
In a public notice, he stated: “The application is to have an Alcohol Premises Licence for The Atlantic Kitchen. Opening hours will be 7.30am to 9pm, up to 11pm during peak periods with alcohol available from 12pm to 9pm, or 11pm when opening during peak summer trading times.
The deadline to make submissions relating to the application is on or before May 7.
