BILLED as a chance for the residents and organisations of Launceston and the surrounding areas to come together and debate the future of their town and the services they receive, last week's Launceston Community Area Network (CAN) event did not disappoint.

Cornwall Councillors, town and parish councillors, council and other public services, local groups and voluntary organisations, businesses and members of the public were in good attendance.
